Firewall and security groups

Firewall rules on VM WAN and security groups from Datacenter.

Before you begin

• VM with a WAN (net0) interface.
• Admin or Superadmin access to the project.

Steps

1. Create a security group in Datacenter → Firewall (optional, for reusable rules).
2. Add inbound or outbound rules to the group.
3. Open VM → Firewall.
4. Click Insert Security Group and choose the group, or add individual rules.
5. Check rule order and enable/disable state.

Watch out

• Portal VM firewall applies to WAN (net0) only. LAN interfaces are not filtered by this firewall.
• CIDR in rules is limited to /26 maximum.
