Stopped VM costs
Which resources keep billing after a VM is stopped.
Overview
Stopping a VM stops CPU and RAM billing. Storage, reserved public IPs, backup storage, and Cloud Gateway continue to bill while they exist in the project.
| Resource | Billed when VM is stopped? |
|---|---|
| vCPU and RAM | No |
| OS disk (storage) | Yes |
| Reserved public IPv4 | Yes |
| PBS backup storage | Yes |
| Cloud Gateway | Yes (if enabled on the private network) |
| Private network (tag VLAN) | No (0 PLN/h) |
Steps
- Stop the VM from the project overview or VM page.
- Check which resources from the table above are still active in the project.
- Delete or release resources you no longer need.
Watch out
A stopped VM does not mean zero project cost. Hourly cost breakdown — in Datacenter → Resource usage (Superadmin).
